With an average of 320 days of sun a year, very low rainfall and miles of beautiful unspoilt coastline, the area is a perfect destination for a holiday at any time of the year. The area does not have the mass tourism of other Spanish costas so you can just relax on an un-overcrowded beach or if you prefer a more active holiday, the area has several golf courses. There are also opportunities to go Cycling, Jet skiing, scuba diving, fishing, boat trips, horse riding or go-karting and more. Or you can visit the sets of your favourite Westerns at Mini-Hollywood, Almeria's famous theme park. You can watch the fantastic shows and take a walk on the wild side! Vera Playa / El Paraiso de Playa Vera area Vera Playa is approximately a five mile stretch of beach which is just 300 metres away from the apartment. There is a good selection of bars and restaurants, a large supermarket and an Aquapark within a short walk. Some of the local areas of interest are: - Mojacar playa - Mojacar pueblo - Garrucha - Villaricos - Cuevas de Almanzora - Cabo de Gata This list however is not exhaustive and visitors to the area will no doubt discover some delightful places themselves.
